Tetsuo...wow...

Warning, this will probably be one of my most obscure posts ever. That said, congrats to anyone who has watched Tetsuo: The Iron Man. You're something else.

In all honesty, explaining this movie is near impossible. I think it would classify into horror. As far as I can tell the story is: man decides to cut leg open and put metal inside. Surprisingly, maggots start to appear in the wound. Man runs and gets hit by car. Driver hides body. Driver gradually turns into a metal mess. Man and driver fight in an epic battle.

There's hardly any dialogue, the whole thing is in black and white, and it has some pretty wicked imagery. All unique pluses. But that didn't prevent the headache I had trying to follow the film. There's one scene in particular that is just plain f#@ked up. That is the only way to describe it. All I'm going to say is that it involves a phallic, metal drill. Oh, man.

Still did I like it? Well if you know me, of course I liked it. So many scenes just stick with me, due to the insane subject matter and interesting camera techniques. I like weird, and this goes beyond that.

For a much better summary/review go to Midnight Eye. Below is a chase scene where driver runs from woman/man hybrid (?). I don't know, your guess is as good as mine.
